About Takeda Round Lake Site:
Round Lake Site is the only site in the United States that fills and packages albumin in a flexible pouch, marketed as Flexbumin, and the only site that is licensed to ship globally. Flexbumin is used to treat trauma patients requiring rapid fluid generation.
About the role:
Supply handler reports to the Manufacturing Manager and oversees the production of Flexbumin. In this role, you will act as line lead, and will ensure the line operates smoothly and keeps up with daily goals. In addition, you will document your process activities on routers or in the electronic batch management system (EBM).
How you will contribute:
Assure that Production Associates rotate to different stations every 30 minutes
Coordinate break and lunch schedules for PAs in their inspection or packaging rooms
Receive and distribute supplies into the production area
Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines
Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams
Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion
Review and revise necessary documentation
Train all employees/contractors on procedures for which Supply Handler is qualified as a trainer
What you bring to Takeda:
- Associate degree or equivalent, with related experience preferred. Instead of degree, High School Diploma with 1+ year of related manufacturing experience
- Must be able to work a 12 hour shift (5:00am – 5:30pm or 5:00pm – 5:30am), in a 2-2-3 rotation.
- Must have 20/20 near and far vision (separately) with or without glasses and/or contacts.
- Must NOT be colorblind
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be proficient in multiple mathematical disciplines, including the metric and USA standard of measurement.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Familiar with basic chemical and biological safety procedures.
- Must be ok with performing repetitive motions with hands, wrists, turning head, bending at the knees and waist.
- Must be able to walk within and between quality rooms and packaging rooms, as well as throughout the entire plant.
Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment
- Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends and or holidays
- Must be able to work overtime as required, including Saturdays
- May be required to work in a confined area
- May be exposed to some Clean Room and cool/hot storage Conditions
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
