POSITION OBJECTIVES:
- Perform analytical characterization and LC-MS analysis for potential biologics drug candidates.
- Operate wide range of state-of-the-art analytical and biophysical equipment in high throughput workflow.
- Multitask and run experiments in matrix organization.
- Summarize data and communicate results to program team.
- Work collaboratively in teams with diverse expertise.
- Run LC-MS experiments to confirm the sequence integrity, characterize PTMs, and degradation variants of potential biologics drug candidates.
- Contribute to high throughput protein analytics workflow to support large number of diverse programs.
- Generate high-quality analytical data in a timely manner to enable biologics drug discovery programs.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Experience with modern LC-MS (e.g. QE, Lumos, qToF, etc) and MALDI-TOF instrumentations, including daily maintenance and operation.
- Familiarity with the MS bioinformatics softwares (e.g. Protein Metrics, BioPharma Finder, PEAKS, or Skyline, etc) for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with HDX-MS for epitope mapping.
- Experience with method development and application of various modes of UPLC/HPLC (e.g., Size Exclusion Chromatography(SEC), Ion Exchange (IEX), Reverse Phase (RP), Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC)).
- Experience with electrophoresis (e.g CE-SDS, cIEF), light scattering (DLS and MALS) and thermal stability techniques (e.g. DSC, DSF).
- Work in a team and influence team to make data-driven decisions.
- Manage workload within domain, implement in high throughput environment.
- Search literature and come up with creative solution to difficult problems.
- Determine methods on new assignments.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- PhD from Science or Engineering background with 0 to 3 years of post degree experience.
- Strong PC literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
