As a Research Associate/Sr Research Associate, Oncology Cell Therapy Innovation - Platform Design & Genetic Engineering, you will be empowered to build a world class cell therapy team in Oncology Cell Therapy Innovation.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The candidate will play an important role in maintaining human iPSC, T cell, NK cell culture
The candidate will be involved in developing and conducting analytical methods such as flow cytometry, in vitro, in vivo killing assays with CAR-T, CAR-NK cells, etc. and conducting experiments to deliver data for cell therapy discovery platforms such as CAR-T, CAR-NK.
Conduct CRISPR gene editing in different cell types.
Work with Scientist to plan and executes process, characterization and qualification studies.
Prepares study protocols, reports, technology transfer documentation. Presents study results at team meetings.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Understands project timelines and deliverables and plans/coordinates project work accordingly with departmental, functional and external stakeholders.
Works with departmental and/or cross functional peers to execute on assignments, under limited supervision.
Owns responsibility for technical aspects of a project.
Prepares experimental protocols.
Reviews, interprets and communicates data internally (e.g., to supervisor, project teams) and prepares technical reports.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Master in Immunology, Oncology, Cell biology, biomedical engineering or related pharmaceutical science; Masters with at least 0-3 years working experience is required for this position. Direct relevant industrial experience is a plus.
LINE FUNCTION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with human stem cell (e.g., induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)) culture and aseptic techniques.
Experience culturing T cells, NK cells.
Experience with CRISPR gene editing, cell transfection, transduction, iPSC clone selection.
Experience with basic molecular biology such as PCR, sequencing library preparation. Experience with ddPCR or chromosome translocation assays is a plus.
Experience with flow cytometry and in vitro, in vivo killing models for CAR-T, CAR-NK cells
Knowledge and Skills:
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Able to conduct basic data analysis. Can work with supervisor for troubleshooting critical issues or problems.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a highly cross-functional team environment.
Communication: Able to express oneself clearly and concisely within team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor; technical writing skills to support contributing to internal technical documents.
Organization: Exercises good time management and prioritization skills and can successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge Sharing: Ability to capture organizational knowledge; improve solutions, processes, and deliverables through use of information; improve information capital by contributing experience, theories, deliverables, and models for others to use
Technical: Proficient in use of applicable lab equipment and operations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
May require approximately 1% travel.
