About the role:

Join Takeda as a Manufacturing Support Supervisor overseeing Departmental Specialists supporting manufacturing operations. You will work directly with manufacturing personnel and will be the liaison between Manufacturing and the Departmental Specialists. You will also support the implementation and execution of departmental projects/goals. As part of the manufacturing team, you will report to the Manufacturing Support Manager.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Manage and delegate daily scheduled tasks to provide support to manufacturing

  • Oversee the onboarding process of new team members by providing training

  • Address and remove obstacles faced by the Department Specialists to ensure daily tasks are completed

  • Support in Inventory Cycle Counts for evaluation and reconciliation of Inventory discrepancies

  • Support in the movement of expired raw materials

  • Support in the development of Standard Operational Procedures

  • Participate on Continuous Improvement teams and help implement continuous improvement tools in the area

  • Use JDE to create work orders and track its status

  • Identify resources or process Improvement plans to assist department manager to meet plant goals

  • Facilitate and verify appropriate training for employees on the shift

  • Provide guidance to less experienced support staff on work processes and problem resolution

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Experience overseeing daily activities of the department and the staff

  • Understanding of cGMP regulations

  • Experience using JDE and Delta V or similar systems

  • Knowledge in specialized functions

  • Advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes and systems

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of related experience OR Bachelors' degree in science, engineering or other related technical field and 2+ years of related experience. Some leadership experience

Important Considerations:

As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment

  • Work in a cold, wet environment

  • Work around chemicals that may require respiratory protection
